  • Demonstrates service excellence according to set guidelines.

  • Checks money in ‘float pan’ at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.

  • Operates register according to set guidelines.

  • Responds to customers' questions and provides information; refers complaints.

  • Bags or wraps merchandise for customers.

  • Receives payment by cash, cheques, credit or debit card in accordance with set standards.

  • Issues receipts and change due to customers.

  • Computes and records totals of all transactions including phone card sales.

  • Prepares and maintains shelves for stock at retail sites.

  • Refunds and credits in association with supervisor/manager.

  • Calculates total payments received and reconciles with total sales report.

  • Tallies and records Doctors’ fees and distributes accordingly.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
