Requirements:

  • 5 CXC Level passes including Mathematics, English Language and Accounts.
  • First level Accounting Qualification such as AAT, CAT.
  • Three (3) years experience in a similar capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Peachtree will be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of local taxation laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of accounting policies and procedures.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Very good analytical skills.
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Quick learner.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Team Player.


Duties:

  • Prepares all accounts receivable reports and maintains all accounts receivable files.

  • Prepares analysis of accounts as required.

  • Clears Vault.

  • Maintains hard copy and electronic filing systems to facilitate easy retrieval and proper record keeping in-keeping with the company’s standards Maintain telephone, fax and email contact with customers on all receivable matters.

  • Collect money owed.

  • Prepare bank deposits and post receipts for hand delivered payments.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.

  • Provide bi-weekly reports detailing accounts receivable status.

  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Resolve all queries from Front Office staff with regard to patients’ outstanding balance.

  • Recover all supporting documents from Accounts filing room.

  • Balance Cashier.

  • Clear vault upon arrival of security personnel and upon request e.g. for doctors’ payments dumped by cashiers.

  • Assist with other duties.
